A coffee with Marusya

Hi Marusya! Welcome to the club. Can you tell us a bit about yourself? 

Hi Lepelclub! I'm Marusya — business consultant and owner of swimwear label GALERÍA PARADÍS. I live between two cities – Kyiv and Barcelona. I love art, fashion, yoga and quality time with my family!

Where did you grow up and where do you call home now? 

I grew up in a small town called Cherkasy, in Ukraine. These days I'm lucky enough to call two places home: Kyiv, where my roots are and where most of my work happens, and Barcelona, my place to slow down, soak up the sun and just enjoy life.

How has your journey prepared you to start your brand in fashion? 

Before launching the brand, I owned multi-brand concept stores in Kyiv and Barcelona, curating emerging designers. Working with over 200 brands from Ukraine and abroad gave me a real insider's view — I could see exactly what was missing in the market and how the industry actually works behind the scenes.

Can you share your journey into GALERÍA PARADÍS and the meaning behind the name? 

GALERÍA PARADÍS was born in 2026. The idea is to celebrate the female body exactly as it is. We offer a wide size range because we want every woman to feel beautiful and confident in our swimwear. Each piece is made from Carvico, a sustainable Italian fabric that's long-lasting and soft against the skin, and produced in Kyiv — supporting local artisans matters deeply to us, especially in such a difficult time for our country.

Where do you find inspiration in your daily life? 

I travel a lot — Costa Brava and the south of France are right on Barcelona's doorstep, and they're full of beautiful places, free spirits and art everywhere you look. That sense of joy and freedom is where my inspiration comes from.

What is your dream summer vacation, and which GALERÍA PARADÍS swimsuit could you not go without? 

Provence is my dream, every time. And the swimsuit I'd never leave without is Crème de la Crème by GALERÍA PARADÍS  — it makes me feel confident, and it's the kind of piece that never goes out of style.

How has your background in yoga influenced other areas of your life?

Completely. I've been an entrepreneur for seven years now, and every day brings something that tests my inner balance. Ashtanga yoga is what keeps me grounded, calm and happy — no matter what's happening around me.

What are three things you're currently fascinated by? 

Building my swimwear brand, spending quality time with my husband and family, and traveling whenever I get the chance.

I'm all about a good V60!
