A coffee with Abbie

Welcome to the Lepelclub Journal! To start off, who is Abbie?
I am a photographer, marketer, co-founder of amie (@drinkamie) + RODEN (@roden), and most importantly, now a new mother to our 4-month-old baby boy, Teddie!
Where did you grow up and where do you live now?
I am American, originally from Lexington, Kentucky. I have been living in West London for the past 7 years.
How does your location inspire your work?
Living in London is so inspiring. I love the diversity of people, and that you can go to lots of different corners of the city and feel like you're in an entirely different country. That's super cool to me.
What bottle do you recommend for those special occasions?
All of our wines have their purpose, but my favourite is our organic rosé - amie x.
We love all of your charity initiatives! What pulled you towards charity: water?
I had read the book Thirst before we launched amie, written by charity: water's Founder, Scott Harrison. Scott's story is incredible (I recommend this book to everyone) and we love the 100% Model, which means that 100% of public donations go straight to the field. Overhead costs - things like staff salaries, office rent, trips to the field, etc. - are covered by a group of donors called 'The Well.'
How do you plan on stirring things up in the future?
We have lots of exciting things planned for our businesses and I can't wait to see the ideas come to life.
And to finish it off, how do you take your coffee?
At home, I love a big 'American-style' pot of coffee with oat milk. Out, I'll order an Oat Latte.
