A coffee with Duygu

A coffee with Duygu

Welcome to the Journal! To begin, who is Duygu?
Hi, I’m Duygu. I’m the founder of Ceduce and I love talking about hair care in a way that’s honest and real. It all started with me sharing my own hair journey online, and over time it grew into a community I care deeply about. Now I get to build something creative and meaningful, and I still can’t believe I turned my love for hair care into my own brand.

Where did you grow up and where do you live now?
I grew up in a small town in the south of the Netherlands. It was calm, familiar, and honestly a really nice place to grow up. Now I live in Rotterdam, which is the complete opposite in the best way. It’s fast, creative, full of energy, and it really pushes me. What pulled you towards the hair care industry? Since I was a teenager, I’ve been really into hair care. I just wanted healthy, beautiful hair and would spend hours online looking up tips, trying products, and learning what actually worked. That curiosity never left me and eventually turned into something much more meaningful.

How does your background in healthcare help you with Ceduce?
Working in healthcare taught me to really see people. Not just to treat something, but to understand what they need and how they feel. At its core, Ceduce is still about care. Healthcare taught me to tune into what people need, and now with Ceduce, I try to bring that same approach to helping them feel good through haircare.

What was the inspiration behind the name?
The name Ceduce was a little play on the word seduce, but I wanted it to feel softer and more me. Not about being sexy or in-your-face, but about that quiet confidence you have when you feel good in your own hair.

How do you relax after a long day?
So this is kind of my go-to routine at this point: I throw together my favourite comfort meal, grab an ice-cold water with ice cubes (the colder the better), and crash on the couch with something easy to watch. Nothing too deep, just something to laugh at or get a little caught up in. It’s how I switch off and give my body the rest it needs after a full day.

What’s your favorite milestone been so far?
Our first Ceduce event meant so much to me. Meeting people face to face who felt connected not just to the brand, but also to each other, was honestly overwhelming in the best way. It reminded me that this is about more than products. It’s about people and how we make each other feel.

We can’t let you go without asking our favorite question! How do you take your coffee? I’m an iced latte girl through and through, no matter the season. I love it with oat milk and a splash of vanilla syrup. It just makes busy days feel so much better!
